KNOWN FOR :  Maison Louis Latour has been family owned and a benchmark in Burgundian winemaking since 1797

HISTORY : Louis-Fabrice Latour, the seventh Louis Latour, now operates Maison Louis Latour, one of the most important producers and negociants in Burgundy.  From their entry level Ardeche line to their grand Cru offerings, to the now prominent offshoot in Chablis, Simonnet Febvre, Louis Latour is unmatched by their Burgundian peers when it comes to quality and accessibility.  Latour believes that the quality of a finished bottle of wine is a product of detailed work in the vineyards. In addition, Louis Latour has their own cooperage on site where approximately 3500 barrels a year are produced.  Latour uses about half of these for their own wines, while selling the others to prestigious wineries around the world.  It is this attention to detail, from the vine to the barrel to the bottle, that makes Louis Latour such a force in the wine world.
