Tuesday, April 21st • 6:30-8:00 PM • 3827 Baronne St, New Orleans • $20 per person

Join Martin Wine Cellar as we host Paul Draper, America’s iconic wine figure, for a reception style tasting of over 10 different Ridge Vineyard Wines.

Paul lived for two years in northern Italy before attending the University of Paris and traveled extensively in France, gaining practical experience in traditional winemaking. In the mid-sixties, with a close friend, he set up a small winery in the coast range of Chile and produced several vintages of Cabernet Sauvignon.

In 1969, he was hired as winemaker by the four Stanford engineers, who had bought the old Monte Bello winery and founded Ridge Vineyards.  He is known for his crafting of fine Cabernets and Chardonnays from the Monte Bello estate vineyards, and as a pioneer in the production of long-lived, complex Zinfandels. In 2013, Paul was named as the recipient of the prestigious “Winemakers’ Winemaker” award, presented by the Institute of Masters of Wine.
